Wow. One of the luckiest stories. You happened to walk in a shopping center and James set you up with your future wife. And exactly during the duration of this iteration of Late Late Show, they got together, moved in and married. That's truly beautiful.

There was a UK series years ago called Street Mate that did the same thing. I don't know if it resulted in any weddings, though.

I love how the crew didn't just reach out to them since the show was ending but they actually kept track and James was supposed to officiate their wedding.

James gets a lot of shit for the altercation he had earlier this year at that restaurant but you can't deny that James' iteration of the Late Late Show has been one of the greatest. Granted there's only been 3 hosts so far, I think James has had the most influential version of the show and whether CBS picks it up again with a new host or James turns out to be the final host. I think he'll go down as one of the most interactive Late night hosts in history, just in terms of like how the late night and just talk show format in general has changed with social media. James since he took over for Craig became one of most active late night shows on social media. Especially his first couple years on the show. I think that in 5 years time when we look back James' tenure on the show, I think he'll get the recognition that he's one of the best late night hosts of the modern era.

Ah man, he really needs more credit. His interaction with the crew during COVID made me cry laughing so many times. It was such a special thing as well. I love carpool, love the big stunts with Tom Cruise, but those moments were the most special.

I give him credit for publicly admitting his problem, seriously working on improving, and giving a heartfelt apology for the incident.

He apologized and everyone knows they've had moments they weren't proud of. Happy there are same ppl out there that realize that 🥰

One of the best things any late show has ever done! Finding a soulmate is hard enough but manage to find two people their souldmates is magical. And to end it with a magical 3 minute reception of their dreams is amazing.

Now I've seen some accounts on tiktok that do this, but of course eight years ago there wasn't many people doing this. It's always fun to see how two people can be on the same place but would probably never have talked tk each other if it wasn't for a random matchmaker.

There was a show like this in the UK a while ago called Street mate hosted by the amazing Davina McCall which had the same idea, prob where James got the inspiration. ...

You know- when I think about it, this is genuinely so sweet… Because james and his people knew about this couple the entire time, and they never bothered them. I mean, I’m sure if james had been able to be at the wedding they would’ve filmed it… But don’t you feel like most other shows would’ve been like… Getting updates every time they saw something exciting happen on Instagram?
